Position Overview
DAVEY RESOURCE GROUP, Inc. is looking to hire an ISA certified inventory arborist site manager in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex to support a large upcoming tree inventory of natural areas including wooded parks, floodways, and forests.
Tree inventory site managers lead teams of inventory arborists as well as work closely with the project managers, clients, and team leadership. Our Tree Inventory teams provide government, commercial and not-for-profit clients with the services and solutions needed to efficiently and effectively manage their trees. This position is focused on north Texas projects, but includes additional opportunities to travel and support other clients across the country.
Position Description and Responsibilities
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Small team leadership, coordination, and logistics of inventory arborists.
- Quality control (QC) oversight for the inventory team.
- Reporting on inventory progress to project management and clients.
- Serving as the in-person point of contact for clients and liaison between the inventory team and clients.
- Collect tree and site data in the field using handheld computers. Data collected typically includes species, size, condition, maintenance recommendations, etc.
- Work in an outdoor environment (95%+).
- Inventory areas will include wooded areas of parks, floodways, and unmaintained forest areas." this was my mistake left in from the template.
- Travel out of state to support Davey Resource Group, Inc’s projects across the nation (up to 50%), includes travel expenses and per diem.
- Ensure clear and effective communication with clients and co-workers.
- Conduct administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications
- College educated, professional arborists.
- Small team leadership experience.
- International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Arborist Certification.
- Proficient working knowledge of computers, including GIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google’s suite of applications. Ability to read and follow GIS data and maps.
- Ability to identify regional Texas tree species.
- Current Driver’s License and driving record in good standing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work and hike in urban and forested terrain.
- Ability to work in inclement weather.
- Ability to work independently, be adaptable, and manage all project field tasks.
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time
